HavingwitnessedhisjunkiefatherkilledRussellStevensgrowsuptobecomeapolicemanandmakeadifference.WhenheisofferedanundercoverjobbyGeraldCarverheacceptsandbeginstobuildarelationshipwithDavidJasoninordertogettothemaindealers.Howeverasheisforcedtodealdrugsandkilltokeephiscoverhefindsthelinesbetweencopandcriminalbeinglost–isheacoppretendingtobeadealeroradealerpretendingtobeacop?Larry(ashewasthen)Fishburne'sfirstleadrolewasatypicallydarkvehicle.Thestoryistheusualoneofcoplosinghimselfwhenundercover,howeveritmanagestobemorethanthatformostofthetime.Co-writtenbyTolkin,whowroteThePlayer,thisnaturallyhasanicecynicaledgetoitwhenitlooksattheUS'shypocriticalapproachtodrugcontrolandthepoliticallinksbetweenthestreethustlersandthepoliticalhighrollerswhocourtrespectability.Thestorydoeseventuallysettleintoatraditionalsettingbuteventhenitworkswellasathriller.Themulti-talentedBillDukedirectswellwithagrittyfeelandafewnicetouches.Howeverseveralthingsareabitiffy.FormostofthefilmFishburne'snarration/voiceoverisabitlikeacrossbetweenApocalypseNowandBladeRunner–itcomesacrossasalittletoodarkandheavyandalsoexplainsthingslikewecan'tfigureitoutourselves.Howeveronceyougetintothefilmit'snotasbigadeal.Mymainproblemlieswiththecharacters.Fishburneisexcellent,arealmodelofunderlyingangerandviolence,GoldblumisgoodbutperhapsalittleOTTontheyuppie/violencething,butthere'sgoodsupportfromSmithandSpinCity'sbeautiful(andoftenunderused–butnothere)VictoriaDillard.Howeverthetwomainwhitecharacters(GoldblumandSmith)arebothsmearedwithracistinsinuations–Smithappearstoinsulthisblackofficersanddoesn'tcareaboutthejunkies,whileGoldblumisfascinatedaboutallthingsblackandtalksaboutthemaswildbeautifulbeastsandloveshavingsexwith"black'.Thesethingsaren'tamajorproblem,butwithbasicallyonlytwowhitecharactersinit,it'salittleworryingthatbotharegiventhatedge.Howevertheseareminorcomplaintsthatgetlostwithagoodthriller.FishburneexcelsandDukedeliversastorythatisagoodthrillerbutalsohasajaded,subversiveedge.

记者威利（弗雷德里克·马奇FredricMarch饰）正在经历他职场生涯中最大的危机，如果不能出现一个契机令他力挽狂澜，那么他就将一蹶不振。就在这个节骨眼上，一个名叫哈泽尔（卡洛·朗白CaroleLombard饰）的女孩出现在了威利的视野里，这个女孩受到了严重的核辐射，时日无多。威利决定利用她剩下的最后的日子带她进城见见世面，顺便再以此为题材写几篇催人泪下的新闻出来。哪知道哈泽尔实际上并没有受到核辐射，身体强壮的很呢。但是这个姑娘决定暂时隐瞒这一事实，先去纽约好好的玩一通再说。就这样，威利和哈泽尔踏上了他们充满了谎言和利益的旅途。

故事讲述车手大熊遭反派杜斯暗算，伤及路人，输掉比赛。拳手安培沉溺MMA，导致妻子车祸意外死亡。本是好兄弟的二人，从此洗心革面，安静度日。好景不长，“老三”李想阴差阳错又得罪了杜斯，平静的日子再起波澜。冥冥中，几个人的命运还是交织在了一起。为了赢回男人的尊严，大熊和安培再次踏上“战场”。

　　懵懵懂懂的21世纪日本高中生三郎（小栗旬 饰），在意外穿越了时空后，居然来到了风起云涌的战国时代。不知为何和他长得一模一样的织田信长与之交换了身份，从此三郎便以一代霸主的尊荣行走战国。历经无数磨难，他逐渐取得家臣的信任和爱戴，而斋藤道三的女儿归蝶（柴崎幸 饰）似乎也对他用情更深。然而在得知自己死期临近之际，三郎内心倍受打击，历史看似无法逆转。与此同时，羽柴秀吉（山田孝之 饰）和真正的织田信长——明智光秀（小栗旬 饰）合谋，正准备断送第六天魔王的霸业。所谓的本能寺之变一天天临近，三郎的命运以及战国的命运到了最终决断的时刻……
